Considering the functions of teat cup liner, the contact area between teat and teatcjp liner cylinders was estimated by computer simulation. It was shown to what extent the changes of mouthpieces' height (Igt) wall conicity angle (β) and contact diameter (dd) do affect the coefficient of used contact area (Sp) for four tested shapes of teats. On the basis of simulation results four types of modified teat cup liners were developed.
