The experiment was undertaken to evaluate the effect of supplementation of concentrate mixtures containing rape seeds and rape seed meal /Jantar variety/ or soyameal, on pigs performance and carcasses quality. Studies included 334 piglets, from which 60 heads, after rearing period, were chosen for further fattening trial. Supplementing of concentrate mixtures for piglets at age of 10-56 days with 7 % rape seed meal and 5 % rape seed, disadvantageously affected both, their healthy state as well feed consumption and body gain. After 100 days of experiment, the body weight of pigs fed with diet contained rape seeds, was markedly decreased /p < 0.01/. Supplementing of concentrate mixtures for fattening pigs with 7.0 % - 12.0 % of rape seed meal together with 3.0 % - 5.0 % of seeds, caused the increasing of performance about the value of 4.0 % /p< 0.05/. In these groups of fattening pigs, for which the diet contained the rape, tylozyne supplement stimulated body gain in greater part than avotane supplement. Post mortem studies revealed, that there were not significant differences between groups regarded slaughter results and meat analysis. The weights of liver, heart, thyroid and pituitary glands of pigs from control groups were lower then respective organs from experimental animals.
