Paper presented the determinants, changes and constraints of the information-communication technology (ICT) application to management of agricultural enterprises under conditions of rising competition. An increase of information resources in wide area networks, the level of technical infrastructure on rural areas, the farmers' knowledge and skill in making use of computer application, the competences of agricultural advising services to arranging the adequate training courses as well as the state of ICT application in other countries, are the basic determinants of using information technologies by local agricultural enterprises. The chances for more effective use of the information resources available in wide area networks arise from the methods of artificial intelligence, the expert systems inclusive, which were developed in order to solve the problems involved in technological, economic and organization advisory.
