The aim of the article was to present results of experiments on the effect of feed additives on the consequences of coccidiosis in poultry. It was concluded, basing on literature data, that probiotics, mannan-oligosaccharides, betain and some herbal extracts may be effective in alleviating the severity of coccidiosis in poultry. The mode of action of these additives is, among others, connected with their beneficial effect on intestinal microflora and immunostimulation. Natural feed additives may also enhance the efficiency of vaccination against coccidiosis.
