W pracy zbadano rozmieszczanie narządowe, kinetykę zaniku z osocza i wydalanie 14C z moczem i kałem po jednorazowym podaniu [14C]-1-naftolu u szczurów. Przeprowadzone badania wykazały, że 1-naftol jest substancją o szybkim obrocie ustrojowym i w warunkach ekspozycji powtarzanej nie należy się spodziewać kumulacji tego związku w ustroju.

The aim of this study was to investigate the disposition of [14C]-1-naphthol in rats. The compound was given orally and intraperitoneally in a single dose of 100 mg/kg. The main route of excretion of 14C were urine and faeces. Approximately 84% and 97% following i.p. and p.o. administration were excreted within 48 hours respectively. In tissues maximum level of radioactivity was observed at the 4th hour after administration. The highest radioactivity were observed in the liver and kidneys, and than in the spleen, adrenals and fat tissue. Later on a steady decline of radioactivity was apparent in all investigated tissues. In conclusion, 1-naphtohol has a rapid turnover rate in the rat organism and does not form deposits in the tissue.
