Tematyka dotycząca maszyn pakujących jest w Polskim Komitecie Normalizacyjnym przyporządkowana Komitetowi Technicznemu nr 162 ds. Logistyki, Kodów Kreskowych i Gospodarki Magazynowej. W ramach działalności tego Komitetu wdrożono cztery normy dotyczące bezpieczeństwa maszyn pakujących. Na podstawie tych norm opracowane zostały kryteria oceny maszyn pakujących, stosowane przy ich certyfikacji na znak bezpieczeństwa.

In the Polish Standardization Committee the topic of the packaging machinery and equipment is subordinated to the Technical Committee no. 162 on Logistics, Bar Codes and Stock Management. Within the framework of its activities four standards on the safety of packaging machines have been implemented. The criteria for the assessment of packaging machines applied in the certification of these machines for the safety mark were elaborated on the basis of these standards.
