Cryptocephalus (Homalopus) siedei sp. nov. from China is described and illustrated. In the subgenus Homalopus Chevrolat, 1837 this is the third species inhabiting the central and eastern part of Asiatic continent. Its relation to two remaining Asiatic species is discussed.
