The purpose of the experiment was to analyse the effect of temperature and relative air humidity on formaldehyde release from thermoinsulating boards. The measurements of the formaldehyde concentration in the air were performed in a 0.6 m3 air conditioning chamber, at 1/h air changes and 1 m2/m3 loading factor. The following conditions were applied: temperature 20°C and 30°C, air humidity 40% and 70% r.h. The present study indicates, that the highest release of formaldehyde takes place at 30°C and 70% r.h. It is the temperature that has more powerful influence on formaldehyde release.
