Momentum back flow was determined under laboratory conditions in 32 testing variants based on conventional milking units. Pulsation was changed (simultaneous or alternate) and bucket and pipeline milking units with small and big volume of claws were used. The analysis of the results shows, that the back flow from pulsation teat liners in the alternate milking is more intense than in simultaneous milking. The construction of claws and teat liners may reduce the back flow in alternate milking.
