In piglets of the miniature pig there was assessed the influence of Levamisole or Biotropin on the humoral and cellular immune response against Aujeszky’s disease virus and on some nonspecific indices of immunity. It was found that the drugs did not influence humoral response, i.e. they did not increase the level of antibodies; however, they enhanced specific cellular response. In animals treated with the drugs there were observed an increase of migration inhibition of leukocytes and the augmented index of lymphocyte transformation. Besides, a higher concentration of lysozyme and the activity of phagocytes were noted.
