The purpose of this work was to obtain the complex data of the occurrence of iron and manganese in dust directional fall-out. The samples were collected in Brenna village, which is known for very good recreational conditions, in three sampling locations in the period: 1992-1996 and 1999-2000. The Fe and Mn contents in collected samples were determined by AAS method. The concentrations of water-soluble and water-insoluble Fe and Mn compounds in dust directional fall-out were higher in the first period of research (1992-1996) than in the second period (1999- 2000). The results obtained during the period from 1992 to 2000 show that the long term emission was the main source of contamination of the environment in Brenna by the compounds of iron and manganese. Local emission and traffic emission were less important sources of contamination by these compounds, especially in the second period of research (1999-2000).
