The residues of teflubenzuron were determined to assess its stability on pine needles during the period of 0-6 months after application. In the end of August, 1994, two experimental areas I and II were sprayed with two Nomolt 150 SC containing mixtures (correspondingly 0.2 and 0.3 1 of Nomolt 150 SC per 1 ha). Teflubenzuron was extracted from pine needles with aqueous acetonitrile. An aliquot of filtrated extract was cleaned using SPE with C8 column and analysed by reversed phase HPLC with UV detection. Recovery of teflubenzuron from pine needles was 80 ±9% in the range of 0.1-3 ppm. Minimum detectable level was 0.05 ppm. After 6 months no residues were detected except one case (0.1 ppm for more contaminated area).
