Oceniono zwyczaje żywieniowe 50-letnich mieszkańców Wrocławia w aspekcie profilaktyki chorób sercowo-naczyniowych. Ogółem zbadano 850 osób, w tym 502 kobiety i 348 mężczyzn. Stwierdzono liczne błędy żywieniowe zarówno w grupie kobiet jak i mężczyzn.

The dietary habits of 50-year-old inhabitants of Wrocław were assessed with regard to cardiovascular diseases prevention. Since 2002 to 2003, such studies were conducted for 850 people (502 women and 348 men). The results showed a statistically significant influence of gender on dietary habits of the examined population. Some unhealthy dietary habits were revealed both in the male and female group. The most common unhealthy dietary habits of the 50-year-old people were: irregular meal times, intake of less than 3 meals daily, low consumption of brown bread, vegetable oil, fruits, vegetables, mineral water and low-fat milk, as well as an excessive intake of butter and butter-vegetable oil mixtures instead of soft margarine.
