Paper presented the list of plants being potential energy source, compiled on the basis of recent publications. Special attention was paid to productivity of these plants with respect to the characters determining their energetic potential, such as the oil, alcohol and dry matter contents. Most important aspects of logistics at harvesting biomass from different energetic plants were discussed. Moreover, some socio-economic and ecological aspects of their usage to biofuel production were considered, too.
