Prof. Maria Gwiazda passed away from our circle five years ago. She was of many years meritorious research worker of the Institute of Industrial Organic chemistry in Warsaw, the author of many entomological and biochemical research papers and the member of the Institute Research Council. The research output of Prof. M. Gwiazda amounts to 170 scientific works, comprising 3 books, research papers, communicques and reports. Studies on insecticides mode of action and insects resistance inducement were. Her main research interests. In these fields Her research works were pioneer in our country. Maria Gwiazda was the man of integrity, inflexibly advocating positive worths, at the same time being very good and friendly person and eager to help other people in needs. Her diligence ability and kindness will be treasured in coworkers and comrades memories.
