In this work are shown the results of 8 years experiment (1987-1994) conducted on permanent meadow in valley of Tuczna river (Jaktorów Meadows). Experiment was established in four replications according to the scheme: 0 - no fertilization, NPK - in doses: N-240, P₂O₅ - 75 i K₂O - 120 kg/ha, manure - 30 t/ha, variable fertilization - one year NPK (doses as in NPK combination), in next year manure (30 t). Every year the hay yielding, botanical and chemical composition and the balance of fertilizing components were determined. The highest yielding of hay and the highest productivity of 1 kg applied NPK were obtained using variable fertilization. Also using of nitrogen and phosphorus from applied variable fertilization was significantly higher than alone manure and from mineral fertilizers. Only potassium using in variable fertilization occurred to be a bit lower than from mineral fertilization, but significantly higher than manure.
