Huge demand for food has led to the invention industrial methods of food production. Farming methods producing high yields and highly effective food production methods are now widely accepted. However, the nutritional value of the agricultural product seems to take the back seat. This is the focus of the article. The author discusses ecologically sustainable agriculture methods which have developed in the recent years, which above all try not to harm the environment and the consumer. Unfortunately, ecological farms in Poland occupy as little as 0.05%.
