Wzrost i kwitnienie pelargonii rabatowej [Pelargonium hortorum L.H.Bailey] traktowanej chloromekwatem

Badano wpływ chloromekwatu w stężeniu 480 mg·dm⁻³, stosowanego w postaci preparatu Cycocel 460 SL, który zawiera 46% chloromekwatu, na wzrost i kwitnienie odmian pelargonii rabatowej: ‘Elite Pink F₁ʼ, Maverick Pink F₁ʼ i ‘Orbit Coral F₁ʼ. Retardant stosowano poprzez moczenie w nim nasion przez 24 godziny lub moczenie nasion i opryskiwanie roślin w fazie 8 - 9 liści. Stwierdzono, że moczenie nasion w chloromekwacie nie wpływa na jakość roślin w stadium generatywnym, natomiast stosowanie tego retardantu dodatkowo w fazie rozsady poprawia pokrój pelargonii, hamuje jej wzrost oraz zwiększa liczbę kwiatostanów, liści i intensywność ich zazielenienia.

The studies focused on the effect of chlormequat at the concentration of 480 mg·dm⁻³, on the growth and flowering of Pelargonium hortorum cultivars: ʼElite Pink F₁ʼ, ‘Maverick Pink F₁ʼ and ‘Orbit Coral F₁ʼ. Cycocel 460 SL containing 46% of chlormequat was used for treating seeds for 24 hours or treating seeds and spraying the plants at the stage of 8 - 9 leaves. It was found that retardant seed treatment has no effect on the plant quality at the generative stage whereas its application at the seedling stage improves the plant habit, stunts growth and increases the number of inflorencences, leaves and intensity of green colour.
