Content of hypericin in herb, seeds and preparations from St.John`s wort [Hypericum perforatum L.]

Moisture, ash and sum of hypericin compounds in herb and seeds of St. John’s wort were determined. Moreover were estimated and compared the content of sum of hypericin compound in gallenic and pharmaceutical preparations with producer’s requirements. The content of sum of hypericin compounds in Hyperici herba and Hyperici semen amounted to 68.67 mg% and 9.19 mg%, respectively. Hypericin content in liquid alcoholic preparations ranged from 0.3 mg% for Succus Hyperici up to 2.17 mg% for Psychotonisol. For solid preparations produced in capsules form, content of sum of hypericin compounds amounted to 0.18 mg/caps for Hyperplant and 1.19 mg/caps for Perhip.

Wykonano oznaczenia zawartości wilgoci, składników mineralnych i sumy hyperycyn w zielu i nasionach dziurawca zwyczajnego. Ponadto wyznaczono i porównano zawartość sumy hyperycyn w preparatach galenowych i farmaceutycznych z wymaganiami producenta. Zawartość sumy hyperycyn w zielu i nasionach dziurawca zwyczajnego wynosi odpowiednio 68,67 mg% i 9,19 mg%. W przypadku płynnych preparatów alkoholowych zawartość hyperycyny waha się w granicach od 0,3 mg% dla Succus Hyperici do 2,17 mg% dla preparatu Psychotonisol. Dla preparatów produkowanych w postaci kapsułek zawartość hyperycyny wynosi 0,18 mg/kaps. dla preparatu Hyperplant i 1,19 mg/kaps. dla Perhipu.
