Odpowiednią jakość stłuczki oraz zadowalającą wydajność procesu jej przygotowania mogą zapewnić tylko nowoczesne urządzenia sortujące i czyszczące, wyposażone np. w elektromagnesy oraz sterowane komputerowo i sprzężone z dmuchawami skanery optoelektroniczne. Zmiana konstrukcji pieców, wprowadzenie mieszadeł i dogrzewu oraz poprawa nadzoru nad procesem topienia spowodowały, że obecnie za korzystny uważa się 70% udział stłuczki w zestawie. Możliwa jest także produkcja wyłącznie ze stłuczki.

Only the modern sorting and cleaning equipment outfitted with, e.g., electriomagnets and optoelectric scanners computer controlled and coupled with air blowers can secure an adequate quality of cullet and satisfactory output in the process of its preparation. A change in the construction of glass-furnaces, introduction of stirrers and electrical boosting and also an improvement in the supervision of the glass melting process brought about the fact that 70% share of cullet in the glass batch is now considered as advantageous. The glass manufacture from sole cullet is also already possible.
