Testosterone injections (0.05 mg/kg b.w.) administered over the course of 3 and 5 days revealed the statistically confirmed reactivity of the glutathione transferase (GST) and glutathione peroxidase (GSPx) as well as the changes of reduced glutathione concentration in the liver and kidney of experimental mice. The GSH level and GSPx activity decreased in both organs, in contrast the GST activity increased. The results permit the hypothesis that exogenous testosterone can change the metabolic rate of cell biochemical processes in these organs.
