Poczwarówka jajowata Vertigo moulinsiana (Dupuy, 1849) to rzadki i cenny na skalę europejską gatunek ślimaka lądowego. Gatunek ten jest słabo poznany, a liczba stanowisk od początku XX wieku w całej Europie drastycznie spada. W artykule przedstawiono dane na temat biologii i ekologii poczwarówki jajowatej na podstawie literatury oraz zagadnienia ochrony tego gatunku

Desmoulin’s whorl snail is a rare and valuable species of land snail on an European scale. So far the species was rarely described. In spite of passage of time, the state of knowledge in this subject practically doesn’t increase, whereas since the beginning of XX century, number of sites of the species decrease drastically in whole Europe. The article presents a review of available knowledge in the subject of biology and ecology of Desmoulin’s whorl snail and the species protection issues
