Przedstawiono skład i stężenia związków z grupy chlordanu (CHLs) w tkance mięśniowej, wątrobie i tkance tłuszczowej orłów bielików gnieżdżących się w Polsce i padlých w latach 1991-92. Stosując technikę kapilarnej chromatografii gazowej i niskorozdzielczej spektrometrii mas (HRGC/LRMS) zidentyfikowano takie związki jak U82, MC4, trans-chlordan, MC5, cis-chlordan, MC7, MC6, trans-nonachlor, cis-nonachlor, oksychlordan i epoksyd heptachloru.

The composition and concentrations of chlordanes (CHLs) were determined in breast muscle, liver, and adipose tissue of white - tailed sea eagles (Haliaeetus albicilla) nesting in Poland and collected dead in 1991 -92. The samples were cleaned-up using a nondestructive method by means of organic solvent dialysis employing a semipermeable polyethylene membrane. Separation, identification and quantification of CHLs was by capillary gas chromatography and low resolution mass spectrometry (HRGC/LRMS). CHLs concentrations in the breast muscle, liver, and adipose tissue varied from 15 to 5800, 13 to 9000, and 14 to 20 ng/g lipid weight, respectively. The highest concentrations of CHLs were found in eagles from coastal areas (Wolin Island and its vicinity). The composition of CHLs residues was similar for all examined eagles. Oxychlordane (30%) and trans-nonachlor (25%) were dominant in breast muscle and liver, followed by см-nonachlor, cw-chlordane, MC6, MC5, trans-chlordane, U82 and MC4. Adipose tissue showed CHLs composition similar to that of the breast muscles and liver - with oxychlordane (22%) and trans-nonachlor (19%) as the most abundant chemicals, followed by cis-nonachlor, cis-chlordane, MC6, MC5, trans-chlordane, U82 and MC4.
