A survey was conducted to determine Pb, Cd, As, Zn, Cu, and some macro- and microelements content of spring and summer honey gained in copper contaminated area (LGOM) and West Silesia region (Lubsza near Opole). For this purpose ICP technique was applied. Lead content of 75% of honey samples originated from LGOM area, and arsenic content of 25% of samples, were found to exceed acceptable limits of these elements. In all samples of honey originated from the Lubsza region, lead content was shown to exceed the acceptable limit. Maximum lead concentration was 1.93 mg/kg. Moreover, 25 macro- and microelements at different concentration levels, were found to occur in the beehoney under test.
