The efficiency of using some varieties of beets (Goliat-Poly, Poly-Past, AJ Poly-1) or sugar fodder beets introduced into diets instead the maize silage was determined. The results show a similar, usefulness of the above-mentioned beets in cow’s feeding and higher production results of cows which were fed sugar fodder beets instead the maize silage. The application of variously preserved meadow grass (hay or silage from wilted grass) in daily rations for cows supplemented with sugar fodder beets or beet pulp dried had no effect on the production results, composition and quality of milk. The further results also show a good effect of the rolled oats or sprouted oats with rapessed oil meal or rapeseeds (by-product) introduced instead the concentrate mixture B on the production results and on the level of some microelements in blood. No significant differences were found in the composition of milk (excluding the composition of fatty acids).
