W badaniach przeprowadzonych metodami in vitro i in vivo porównano trzy polskie preparaty mikrobiologiczne - Lactacel L, Lactomix i Lactosil - stosowane do kiszenia mieszanek koniczynowo-trawiastych z konwencjonalną metodą wstępnego przewiędnięcia zielonek na pokosach. W kiszonkach oznaczono podstawowy skład chemiczny (analiza weendeńska, ADF, NDF, celuloza, ligniny, cukry rozpuszczalne w wodzie), a także strawność masy organicznej in vitro oraz żwaczowy rozkład in sacco masy organicznej i białka ogólnego.

During the in vitro and in vivo experiments three Polish microbiological inoculants were used for preservation of the grass-clover mixtures and compared to the conventional method of ensiling green forage prewilted in the field. In the trial the mixtures of tetraploid cultivars of red clover with Italian ryegrass and red clover with meadow fescue were ensiled. The clover content in mixtures was: 50, 70, 80 and 90%. The pure sown clover was also tested for comparison. The ability of ensiling depending on the botanical composition of mixtures, proximate analysis, ADF, NDF, cellulose, lignin, water soluble .carbohydrates (WSC), in vitro organic matter digestibility and in sacco rumen degradability of organic matter and crude protein were estimated. The nutritive value of silages was calculated according to the INRA'88 system and the apparent digestibility of nutrients and retention of nitrogen were evaluated in sheep. The ensilability of green forage with high clover content was distinctly worse. As compared to the prewilting silages, the fodders with bacterial-enzymatic inoculants were characterized by better chemical composition, better digestibility, better nutritive value and lower nutrients losses. The retention of nitrogen in sheep fed on silages preserved by using additives was also higher. From among investigated inoculants, the use of Lactacel L provided the best results.
