Wybrane gatunki „owoców morza" poddano analizie pod kątem zawartości mikro- i makroelementów. Na podstawie otrzymanych wyników stwierdzono, iż niektóre bezkręgowce morskie mogą stanowić dobre uzupełnienie diety człowieka w pierwiastki takie jak: Cu, Mn, Zn i Ca.

The concentration of Ca, Mg, Na, K, Cu, Zn, Fe, Mn, Co, Ni and Cr was determined in different types of seafood obtained at Polish market. Samples were dried, homogenized and digested in automatic microwave system. Quantitative analysis for micro- and macroelements was performed using a flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The detected concentrations of elements in seafood were compared to those in cod, herring, pork, beef, chicken and egg. Daily intakes of those elements by the analyzed products were estimated. In general, some high-seafood consumption could be a valuable source of micro- and macroelements in human diet.
