The experiments were done on 329 hybrid piglets divided into four experimental groups (El, E2, E3, E4) and a control one - C (6 litters each) from birth till their 70-th day of life. Piglets under experiment were given full-portion mixture with 0.5% dry herbal mixture additions. From time to time piglets from groups E3 and E4 were given herbal infusions. The addition of herbal mixtures to feed has improved its taste, and its higher use was found for piglets from experimental groups. Addition of herbs in the form of dry mixtures and infusions positively influenced piglet growth and development after weaning and the feed use in this period. A simplified calculation of the rearing income and costs has confirmed the worth of herb use in piglet breeding.
