Badano wpływ oleju z wiesiołka dziwnego na skład kwasów tłuszczowych surowicy krwi i wątroby szczurów karmionych dietą zawierającą białko sojowe oraz różne rodzaje i ilości tłuszczów. Po podawaniu oleju wiesiołkowego stwierdzono zmiany w udziale niektórych kwasów tłuszczowych zależne tylko od rodzaju tłuszczu.

The effect of soybean protein and dietary fats on the action of Oenothera paradoxa oil was studied in rats. Male and female Buffalo rats maintained on four diets: I - low lard (5%), II-high lard (15%), III - low sunflower oil (5%), IV - high sunflower oil (15%) were used in the experiment. Soybean isolate (27%) was used as the source of the dietary protein. On half of each experimental group received additionally by gavage Oenothera paradoxa oil (Oeparol®, Agropharm®, Poland) for 4 weeks. During the final stage of the experiment, blood serum and liver fatty acid levels were determined. Oenothera paradoxa oil increased gamma-linoleic, linoleic and arachidonic acid levels in blood serum and liver of the rats. The effect of Oenothera paradoxa oil was found to be dependent only on the type of fat in the diet.
