EN
Pepsin forms insoluble complexes with H1, H2A, H2B, H3 and H4 histones. The formation of the insoluble pepsin-histone complexes depends on the pH of the medium. These complexes are dissociated mainly by calcium chloride, to a lesser extent also by sodium chloride, and they are resistant to the action of urea. The segments of the pepsin-histone complexes are bound by the ion bonds.
