The paper aims to analyze the labour competitiveness in Polish agriculture compared with employment in the other sectors. The main sources of presented data were databases of Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) and databases of Central Statistical Office of Poland. During the period 2002-2007 employment in Polish agriculture in AWU (Annual Work Unit) was stable. The incomes of farmers' households were low in relation to those of other socio-economic groups but the real income offarm households increased by 35% in the years 2003-2006. Growth of income of farm households was affected by such factors as: price ratios, production results of agriculture, EU direct and government payments. Farm subsidies represent on average 39% of income. Labour competitiveness in agriculture was measured as relation incomes of farmers in different types of farm to average real salaries. Employment in Polish agriculture was competitive activity mainly in very small and large farms according to area, large farms according to ESU and in farms specialized in gardening.

W artykule dokonano próby określenia konkurencyjności zatrudnienia w polskim rolnictwie w stosunku do zatrudnienia w innych działach gospodarki. Wykorzystane dane liczbowe pochodzą głównie z przeprowadzanych przez IERiGZ polskich badań FADN oraz z badań budżetów gospodarstw domowych GUS. W artykule pokazano zmiany zatrudnienia w polskim rolnictwie od 2002 roku, liczonego w pełnozatrudnionych jednostkach rodzinnej siły roboczej. Przedstawiono też poziom dochodów rolniczych gospodarstw domowych na tle innych grup społeczno-ekonomicznych. Pozycję konkurencyjną zatrudnienia w rolnictwie analizowano porównując dochody na jednostkę rodzinnej siły roboczej w różnych grupach gospodarstw ze średnią płacą netto w gospodarce. Pokazano również inne czynniki konkurencyjności zatrudnienia w rolnictwie.
