The concentration of lead in muscle, liver and kidney of wild animals was determined. Muscle samples were taken in rifle-shot wound and in a different distance from it (10, 20, 30 and more cm). The levels of lead in muscle were dependent on distance from rifle-shot wound. High concentrations of lead found in this study can be harmful to consumers. Lead content in muscles was in a range from 0.06 to 1493.7 mg/kg. To protect consumer health following steps should be taken: baning lead bullets, maximum tissue cuting around rifle-shot wound and increasing number of lead determinations in wild animal tissues.
