Opracowano wariantowe receptury past do zębów z podłożami żelowymi opartymi na polisacharydach naturalnych i modyfikowanych pochodnych celulozy. Za pomocą metody ekstensometrycznej zbadano rozciągliwość modelowych preparatów, zaś metodą reometryczną oznaczono ich lepkość. Dokonano próby interpretacji uzyskanych rezultatów badań w aspekcie dostępności farmaceutycznej jonu fluorkowego z wytworzonych układów.

Various formulations for tooth pastes with gel vehicles based on natural polysaccharides and modified cellulose derivatives were developed. Extensibility of model formulations was assessed by extensometry, while their viscosity was assayed by rheometry. An attempt was made to interpret the results with reference to the pharmaceutical availability of the fluoride ion from the formed systems. All model tooth pastes based on natural gums and modified cellulose derivatives were Newtonian systems diluted by shearing. Model preparations containing tragacanth had the highest extensibility, the lowest viscosity and the highest value of fluoride ion diffusion coefficient as calculated from the Einstein-Smoluchowski equation. From the application point of view, the best results were obtained for the model tooth paste in which the vehicle had been prepared using the tragacanth and carboxymethyl cellulose sodium salt. High parameters of the extensibility and low viscosity of the formulation constitute the basis for the prediction of high pharmaceutical availability of the fluoride ion from the developed formulation.
