The above work solves the problem of the influence of the diameter of a damaging element (rod), protective coating and degree of its adhesion on the formation of mechanical wounds in potatoe bulbs, expressed in an index of mass wounds (W). Two diameters of rods (10 mm and 12 mm), igelite coating of 2 mm thickness, two degrees of coating adhesion to the rod and five varieties of potatoe (Darga, Fauna, Irga, Jagoda, Mila) - were taken for the experiment. The analysis proved essential influence of tested elements on the size of bulb wounds.
