Materiał badawczy stanowiły szczepy termofilnego grzyba Thermomyces lanuginosus wyizolowane z kompostu liściowego, ogrodowego, biohumusu, podłoża pieczarkowego oraz surowego ziarna kawy i łuskanych orzechów laskowych.

The material to study were the strains of thermophilic fungus Thermomyces lanuginosus isolated from different composts, raw coffee beans and the hazelnuts. The activity was tested on solid media supplemented with starch (2%) and cellulose (5%) at the temperature of 55°C. The study proved, that isolated strains were able both to the starch hydrolysis and to the growth and development at the presence of cellulose as a carbon source.
