Review of the Afrotropical species of Hemipeplus Latreille [Coleoptera: Mycteridae: Hemipeplinae]

Abstrakty

The Afrotropical fauna of Hemipeplus (Mycteridae: Hemipeplinae) consists of nine species, including new species H. gronvellei (type locality: Madagasear, nr. Ranomafana) and H. reichertae (type locality: Congo, Mbandaka). A generic redescription of the adult of Hemipeplus is given. All Afrotropical species are keyed, diagnosed, described or redescribed, and illustrated with line drawings and habitus photographs. A lectotype is designated for H. alluaudi.
