The network EUROBLIGHT combines two previous networks originating from European Concerted Actions: − EU.NET.ICP: European network for development of an integrated control strategy of potato late blight (years 1996–2000), − EUCABLIGHT: A potato late blight network for Europe (years 2003–2006). Scientists and other specialists working on potato early and late blight created the network of 150 members and meet every 18 months on workshops. Representatives from all countries present the late blight epidemic each year and recent research results regarding integrated control, decision support systems, resistance of varieties and population biology of the late blight pathogen in potatoes. Since early blight became an increasing problem in Europe, also yearly reports on this disease are included.
