The total number of 3699 mites of at least 29 species were collected on 927 beetles of the genus Carabus L. representing 17 species. Nine species of mites were new for Poland: Photia hejniana, P. polymorpha, P. chrysocarabi, Canestrinia sellnicki, C. mahunkai, Procericola bourgognei, Schwiebea nesbitti, S. scheucherae and Antennoseius bullitus. Besides rare species of mites were found, previously not collected on Carabus: Hauptmannia pseudolongicollis and Zercon hungaricus. Carabus hortensis had the richest mite fauna (13 species) whereas the mean intensity of invasion was the highest in C. nemoralis and C. intricatus.
