During the entomological research conducted for thirteen years in the vicinity of Pleszew, 39 species of scorpionflies, snakeflies, alderflies and lacewings were found: Mecoptera (4 species), Raphidioptera (5 species), Megaloptera (1 species) and Neuroptera (29 species). The new species for the Wielopolsko-Kujawska Lowland that have been shown in the study are: the scorpionfly P. vulgarus, the snakefly S. confinis and the lacewings: Ch. carnea, Ch. lucasina, Ch. pallida, H. atrifrons, P. diptera and S. terminalis. To sum up, in the Wielkopolska-Kujawska Lowlands, together with new data, 65 species of the discussed orders of insects have been found so far: Mecoptera (5 species / 10 in Poland), Raphidioptera (7 species / 10 in Poland), Megaloptera (1 species / 4 in Poland ) and Neuroptera (52 species /89 in Poland) – this constitutes over 60% of the species recorded so far in Poland.
