A field experiment was carried out in 2008–2009. The experiment was designed as a twofactor randomized block with three replicates. The research was aimed at determining the effect of soil fertilizer UGmax on the yield and tuber infection with Streptomyces scabies and Rhizoctonia solani. After the use of fertilizer UGmax, the yield potato tubers increased by 8.5–53.9% comparing to the control objects. The application of UGmax fertilizer significantly reduced the infection of potato tubers by common scab (S. scabies) and black scurf (R. solani).
