The subject of his study were 8-year-old sweet cherry trees of the cultivar ‘Kordia’ grafted on the ‘Colt’ rootstock and trained as spindles. The aim of the experiment was to estimate the influence of cytokinin BA on fruit quality. Treatments carried out three times in one week intervals. The first treatment was carried out when fruitlets were 6-8 mm in diameter. In first combination, in all three treatments the same concentration 20 mg BAT1 was used, but in second combination, in every subsequent treatment the concentration was higher: 10, 20 and 30 mg BAT1. Both treatments influenced on decreasing fruit set. The treatment with the same concentration influenced on decreasing fruit set about 6,1% in first year and 7,3% in second year of research, treatment with increasing concentration respectively about 12,4% and 17,5% in comparison to control trees. The reduction of fruit set has effected decrease of total yield about 50%. During two years of research average fruit weight increased about 7% and 10% in first combination, and 21% , 10% in second combination. Generally, used cytokinin BA have not evident influence on enhance fruit quality of sweet cherry. The treatments has also not influenced on soluble solids, acidity and pH of fruit juice.
