Stabilization by the ZESPÓL method was applied in dogs to treat some complications of bone fractures in six cases; they were caused by earlier intra-marrow osteosynthesis operation. The complications involved two hypertrophic pseudojoints, two necrotic cases and two destructive adhesions. In all the cases the use of the ZESPÓL method brought about a complete recovery after 8—10 weeks. The ZESPÓL stabilization was a single operation performed periosseously by contact or by axial pressure. A high effectiveness of the ZESPÓL osteosynthesis in the treatment of bone concrescence results from its little injuries, minimal contact of the bone with metal and high mechanical resistance. A possibility arises regardring the treatment of fractures and concrescence disturbances of bones with pathological lesions.
