Haematological and immunologic indices in blue foxes infected naturally with distemper virus

EN

The statistically significant increase in a number of leucocytes, the phagocytic index and an ability to reduce the nitrotetrazole blue were shown in blue foxes infected naturally with distemper virus. On the other hand, the indices of the humoral immunity, i.e. G, M, and A immunoglobulin concentrations and total serum globulin content were lower from those determined in healthy animals. A number of erythrocytes and a total protein content in the sera of healthy and sick foxes did not differ from normal values.
