There were tested 4267 samples of fodder and food components towards the presence of Salmonella spp. Salmonella strains were found in 13 samples of mashes (0.68%), in 11 (8.72%) samples of crusted soya and grinding peanut, in 21 (7.0%) fish mashes, in 5 (4.58%) foder concentrates, in 8 (0.66%) mashes of animal origin, in 12 (29.59%) poultry offals and 9 (9.47%) slaughter offals.
