Firma rekomenduje go w formie preparatu o nazwie Insegar przeciwko gąsienicom zwójek oraz przeciwko mszycom i czerwcom w sadach.

Up to the present time, four juvenile hormones have been praotioally applied, but some other substances are likely being prepared for production, first of all in the USA and in Japan. Until now, the largest achievements have been obtained by ZOECON Corp., USA, which began to market kinoprene and methoprene ten years ago. Kinoprene (the trade mark Enstar) is used to oon- trol homopterous insects on ornamental plants in a greenhouse, but the era of that substance is coming to the end. Methoprene is produced in over 10 utilization forms and is sold in many couittries. It is used as Altosid against mosquites, as Apeks against fly larvae in mushroom oultures, as Kabat for protection of tobacco in stores, as Dianeks or Diakon in storehouses of ground nuts and as Farorid, a ohemical against synanthropus ants. It is also produced in Czechoslovakia, the trade mark Lafareks, to control ants. The firm ZOECON also produoes methoprene in the form of a ohemioal oalled Manta, which is used in the oulture of the mulberry silkworm to increase silk production. A mixture of methoprene with pyrethroid permethrin is effective against fleas (trade mark Rapid flea killer II Plus). A new ohemioal in the production of ZOECON is juvenile hormone hydroprene used to control cockroaches (its trade mark is Henkor Plus). At the same time, the Swiss firm Maag has started the production of phenoxyoarb, a juvenile hormone with a wide spectrum of action. It is used under the same conditions as methoprene. The firm reoommends to use it in the form of Insegar preparation against caterpillars of fruit moth, as well as against aphids and soale insects in orchards.
