This paper presents the mean wholesale prices of commercial fish and the mean prices of stocking material used in 2011 by fisheries enterprises operating in fisheries district waters, including lakes, rivers, and dam reservoirs. The prices were calculated based on survey data obtained from 68 enterprises utilizing a combined total of more than 299,000 ha of waters that comprise fisheries districts. These were then compared to the mean prices of commercial fish and stocking material from 2009 (Mickiewicz 2010). The results obtained permit presenting significant management and practical information regarding the current prices of fish and stocking material. They also permit confirming differences in the prices of different species and types of commercial fish and stocking material. The comparative analysis of prices from two years (2009 and 2011) indicated that prices for most commercial fish increased, while prices for stocking material increased and then decreased insignificantly. The price increase of most of the commercial fish did not exceed 20%; only in the case of five species and/or varieties (bream small, silver bream, roach small, grass carp, non-commercial trash fish) did the price increase more than 20%. Of the 37 types of stocking material studied, increased prices were noted in 24 varieties, decreases in 12 varieties, while the price of one variety did not change. Decreases and increases in the prices of the most commonly used varieties of stocking material of the most important species in the fisheries districts did not exceed 3%, except in the case of eel stocking material.
