Hangaya enigmatica, a new genus and species of Tenebrionidae from Central Australia (Coleoptera)

Hangaya gen. nov. is proposed to receive H. enigmatica sp. nov. from the south of the Northern Territory, Australia. The new taxon is compared with other known groups and is found to agree with the characteristics of the subfamily Tenebrioninae, but not to agree completely with those of any known tribe in that subfamily.
