In field experiments with spring barley (Basza, Blask, Granal and Nadek cultivars) in 2008–2009, the effect of fungicides Amistar 250 SC (azoxystrobin) and Prosaro 250 EC (protiokonazol, tebukonazol) on grain yield, yield components, diseases occurrence and protein content in grain of spring barley cultivars were studied. Both fungicides affected the increase in grain yield of spring barley cultivars, and reduced the intensity of fungal diseases caused by Pyrenophora teres and Rhynchosporium secalis. Yield increase was related to the increase of grain number per ear and 1000 seed mass. Effect of applied fungicides on protein content in grain of spring barley cultivars was not significant.
