In the time span of 2 years 833 girls were examined because of discharges; 63 of them showed trichomonas invasion (7.5%), including 9 cases at the hormonal rest and 44 for at the puberty age. Among 44 girls with completed treatment, 35, i.e. 79%, were cured; a 100% healing was obtained in the group with hormonal rest. In the group of girls at the puberty time the curavite effect was lacking in 9 cases, 2 cases of this group showing even a recurrence of the disease during the menstrual cycle. Myotic complication was found in 5 cascs (3 during and 2 after the treatment). Microscopic observation during the treatment showed a reduced number of sloughed cells of the vaginal epithelium, diminution or absence of leucocytes and distruction of bacterial flora with T. vaginalis disappearing as early as after 3-4 applications. The addition of an antimycotic and foaming substance to the drug would certainly potentiate the therapeutic effect. Terrarsol proved to be an excellent drug for the treatment of vaginal trichomonadosis in girls during the hormonal rest.
