The experiment was carried out on 2 groups (each group = 8 animals) of bull-calves of black-white breed at the age of 60—65 days, 90 ± 5 kg body weight. Hydrocortisone (Hydrocortisonum — Polfa) and desoxycorticosterone acetate (Desoxycortonum — Polfa) in doses of 1 mg/kg body weight were given intramuscularly at 24 hours intervals for 5 days. Sodium and potassium concentration in plasma and erythrocytes was determined. Observed: significant increase in sodium concentration in blood plasma and erythrocytes both under influence of hydrocortisene and desoxycortlcosterone acetate; significant decrease in potassium content in plasma and erythrocytes in group of calves given desoxycorticosterone acetate; significant decrease in potassium concentration in erythrocytes in group of calves given hydrocortisone; maximum influence of hydrocortisone and desoxycorticosterone acetate 72—96 hours after first hormone injection.
